Ieva Riddle’s latest art show presents a vibrant collection of abstract paintings that serve as a visual archive of memory. Each piece is inspired by her travels across the United States, India, and Guatemala, as well as by hikes, bike rides, and restorative walks in nature. Rather than documenting locations, her canvases capture the feelings, moods, and memories these places left behind through dynamic use of color, texture, and form.

Ieva was born in Lithuania, where she first trained as an artist, and later moved to Chicago to build a life filled with exploration and creativity. After a 20-year pause from painting, she returned to her practice in 2021, reconnecting with her artistic roots and showcasing her work in community events and gallery shows.

Her style blends structured strokes with tactile textures, dots, and lines that invite the viewer to linger and uncover hidden layers. Drawing inspiration from dreams, conversations, and emotions, her paintings shift from earthy and bold to bright and metallic, always reflecting a journey of feeling. Ultimately, Ieva’s art asks you to pause, connect, and let your own memories surface within the echoes of her work.
