Learn more about this pairing:
Grana Padano
- Grana Padano is aged for a minimum of 9 months.
- Made from the milk of free-range cows that graze on fresh forage and silage.
- It is savory and nutty, with a dense, flaky texture, and a creamy, mild flavor with a lingering aftertaste.
- The cheese is free from artificial fillers, preservatives, and additives, but contains rennet, making it unsuitable for vegetarians.
Prosciutto di Parma
- Produced in the Emilia Romagna region, known for its unique microclimate, which includes cool Apennine breezes, contributing to the ham’s sweet and savory taste.
- The methods used to make Prosciutto di Parma have been passed down for generations and have changed little over thousands of years.
- It contains no additives, preservatives, or hormones, and is aged twice as long as many other prosciuttos, giving it a rich flavor.
- Made from Italian-born and bred pigs that are monitored and traced throughout their lives. The pigs are often fed whey from Parmigiano Reggiano production.
