About the Play:

The Glass Menagerie

In a cramped, dilapidated apartment in St. Louis, Missouri, during the Great Depression, the Wingfield family struggles to get by. Tom, a young man employed at a shoe warehouse, shoulders the burden of supporting his family. His mother, Amanda, a former Southern belle, clings desperately to memories of her past, while his sister, Laura, is painfully shy and lives with a physical disability.
