Picnic Wine & Provisions Opens to the public with Weekend Long Wine, Food and Music July 19-21 Rogers Park is soon to get a much needed community boost: A “go to” destination to connect over wine, food and more with the opening of Picnic Wine & Provisions. This new space, filled with color and light located in an historic Beaux Arts building, offers a singular destination for “all things Picnic” – wonderful wines, a variety…
Step Into History and Stay Awhile! I love living in Rogers Park, so it was a natural fit for me to open Picnic in my neighborhood. But exactly where was that perfect space? It all came together when I stepped into the property at 7301 Sheridan Road: A wonderfully light filled space thanks to a glass wall of west facing windows, along with a nod to the past, with its ornate fireplace, classic columns and…
We celebrate the history of our country along with my vision of community through all we offer at Picnic, with our first (and hopefully annual) Fourth of July Community BBQ. You are invited! Join us for brats and burgers, soda and snacks donated by Rockwell Partners along with chicken donated by Picnic, all cooked to perfection by our Picnic grill masters on our patio. Grills also provided for use by Lighthouse Tavern. That’s community! When: The…
In developing the destination that has become Picnic Wine & Provisions, my aim all along has been to create a space for gathering community and inspiring adventure through wine, food and art. So, with curator Laura Mae Noble, I am so very pleased to open our first gallery show, “Color Play”, on Saturday, June 22. This is also my first free, open to the public event, as a preview of the Picnic space that you can experience. Why…

We look forward to spending the evening with you! Begin celebrating the International Day of Yoga at Centered Studios, 7009 N Glenwood Ave, with a 75 minute Vinyasa flow class to salute the sun, connect with breath and set intentions for the abundance that awaits. After class…
Like many of us, I spent the long holiday weekend outdoors as much as possible. For me, it was “business as pleasure”, as I spent days planting, potting and arranging a Parisian style jardin along the expanse of our front window at Picnic. It is now a charming Cafe Society type space of bistro tables and chairs, amidst such natural blooming beauty! The idea and the ideal of this labor of love is intentional. Because…
The pleasure of lingering over a glass – or more – of wine, is my gift of the love of the grape to you. My partnership with Steven Fladung of distributor, Candid Wines, provides Picnic with organic, biodynamic, small family owned wines that you won’t fine in many places. Steven’s commitment to these winemakers is special; each glass we enjoy has an impact on the vineyard and the winemaker’s family. And, each wine has a…
Some say that the best places have the most interesting…restrooms! Our own WC has a lot to offer: A large scale mural, painted specially for Picnic. Inspired by one of my favorite, “Sunday on La Grande Jatte” by Georges Seurat (original on view at the Art Institute of Chicago), School of the Art Institute Faculty Laura Mae Noble uses Seurat’s same technique and similar imagery to great effect. Impressionism lives and breathes on this “canvas”, spanning an entire…
Whether you walk, bike or drive along Sheridan Road and Chase in Rogers Park, our eye catching awning is easy to spot. It is brand new and it is our Picnic brand, reflecting who we are and what we do: everything Picnic! So what does this new bold and beautiful awning mean for the community and each of us as a customer? As founder and owner of Picnic Wine & Provisions, it’s really all about…
