We Love Our Community Partners!

At Picnic, we are leaning into our role as a neighborhood grocer, and we’re thrilled to still be able to offer the same delicious local provisions we have always carried, as well as new offerings.

We love carrying fresh bread from Hewn Bakery. Hewn is an independent, woman-owned bakery located in Evanston. At Picnic, you can purchase a loaf of Hewn bread that comes in a delicious variety, including garlic parmesan, potato rosemary, polenta pumpkin seed, and olive & herb.

BeauLou Designs products are inspired by creator Theresa Daniels’ love of travel. Each custom design—which adorn wine stoppers, coasters, notecards, and jewelry—is based on a photograph she’s taken of art and architecture. We appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship evident in all our BeauLouDesigns products.

Rare Bird Preserves, based in Oak Park, IL, uses traditional French and British preserving techniques to create uniquely delicious spreads. Founder Elizabeth Madden takes great care to source the best fruit, locally and sustainably grown whenever possible. Picnic carries a selection of Rare Bird products, including peach lavender preserve, fig & earl grey jam, and lemon curd.

We at Picnic are particularly excited about the Lavender Hills eggs we now offer! Picnic owner Liz Ahearn travels to Sturtevant, Wisconsin, where she picks up fresh eggs from owners Deb and Jeff. Lavender Hills is a 5 acre hobby farm that specializes in pasture-raised chickens and show rabbits.

We are incredibly grateful that Picnic has remained open during this uncertain time, and that our community of customers has rallied around us in support. Thank you for your continued business!
